Undiscovered.
It's been a while. Nothing's changed since the last post but I've started uni... well not officially. Long story short, I miss out on a class because of a public holiday and to make up for it, we had to start a week early. Hold on a sec, that's the whole story. Never mind. Hahahaha.
Well this year, we're having classes at usyd. Why? Because my uni doesn't have a medical licence that allows the teaching of cadavars -- which are (if you didn't know) dead bodies. It wasn't too bad to be honest, I thought that I'd be overwhelmed by the smell (formalin) or throw up. I guess spending last year looking at anatomy textbooks has prepared me for it. I was a little grossed out ... nails were present, the eye, teeth... ARGH! But here's my point, I wonder what makes people donate their bodies for educational reasons. That didn't sound sensitive. I thought it was because they didn't have any family but we were told that they did. There's a Medical Act that requires the body to be returned to the family after 5-6 years but here's the thing. Only 75% of the body is returned. What happens to the other 25%? 25% is a lot right? Where'd a whole chunk go? Mind you the body is divided into pieces so maybe that explains it?
Friends and I didn't bother go exploring usyd. I guess I'm waiting for that tour from Leanne. Her directions there confused me but luckily my friend knew the way. All I know is Lawson --> Abercrombie. Haha. The walk isn't that bad actually, well it'd be a problem if it was pouring but we could do with some of that right now. And never if I can recall, have I gotten anything free from my uni. First day at usyd I got red frogs, a planner and an energy drink and it wasn't even o-week or anything! How awesome! I tried Mother and ... I'm not a fan of Ginseng so after a sip, I gave it to brother and he finished it in 2 gulps. Like wtf?
I've just realised that uni starts next week and I have yet to get my books. I can only imagine the lines for the bookstore! Maybe I'll get my mom to drive me there or better yet I could drive there. Hahahaa.
Chinese New Year hasn't been that great this year. There's the festival
at Warwick Farm but I think after you get over that teeny bopper stage,
it isn't that appealing anymore. My cousin wants to go though! We
haven't had the family dinner yet because grandma is still in Vietnam
but she's be back tomorrow and we're having it on Sunday. I can hardly
wait! But first I've got to finish my homework... and if you were
wondering, there's a LOT! I think that sums up my life so far, so til
next time!
